Tip of the Day – Basketball

A great way to improve your jump shot is by using the acronym, BEEF. Follow Along Below!

Balance – spread your feet shoulder-width apart, and keep those shoulders squared with the basket as you bend your knees to generate power and stay balanced! 

Eyes – make sure your eyes are looking at the center of the back rim to stay on target 

Elbow in – as you’re about to shoot, keep your shooting elbow in at a 90 degree angle so that your hand flexes back and the ball rests nicely on your fingers! 

Follow through – flick your wrist forward at the top of your release to get the perfect arc and back-spin rotation on your ball! Just like how you would reach for that cookie jar at the top of your pantry!
